Structure of the vacuum chamber (vacuum container)

Clicks:368 Update time:2021-03-12

    The vacuum chamber is the core component of the vacuum equipment, and the vacuum equipment carries out the production process in the vacuum chamber. The process of the vacuum chamber of various vacuum equipment is different, but most of the vacuum chambers are composed of a cylinder, a head, a door, cooling water, flanges, and pipes.

    Due to different usage requirements, the vacuum chamber has cylindrical, conical, box-shaped, etc.

    There are the following requirements for the vacuum chamber of the welded structure:

    1 In order to reduce leaks and air leakage, the total length of the weld should be as short as possible;

    2 Do not have cross welds, the height of the welds should be greater than one-third of the thickness of the shell, and the distance between the center lines of the two seams should be greater than 100mm;

    3 All welds can be easily vacuum leak-checked;

    4 When opening holes on the shell, it is best not to open holes on the welds;

    5 In order to prevent shell deformation, intermittent welding can be used for non-airtight welds.

    A part of the vacuum chamber when the head is welded together with the cylinder to form a whole. The head of the vacuum chamber has convex shape, spherical shape, cone shape, flat cover shape and so on.

    In order to facilitate the process operation, the vacuum chamber is equipped with doors. The door is a movable part, with flat lid, convex, spherical, etc.

    Some vacuum chambers are equipped with cooling water jackets or water pipes. This is because the vacuum chambers sometimes work at high temperatures, such as vacuum smelting equipment, which requires cooling in order to prevent deformation of the shell and ensure sealing.

    The vacuum chamber is generally made of metal rolled plates, and the material requirements are good weldability and air tightness. For vacuum chambers that do not require a high degree of vacuum, the materials usually used are low carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminum, and copper. Stainless steel is generally used for vacuum chambers with high vacuum requirements and corrosion resistance.
