During the molding process of stainless steel parts, the surface may stick to oil stains, burrs, rough surfaces and oxides. Therefore, before surface treatment, the oil stains, burrs, uneven surfaces and oxides must be removed first to enable subsequent processing. Obtain satisfactory results.
The dirt to be removed in the pretreatment of stainless steel surface can be divided into two categories: organic matter and inorganic matter.
Organic contaminants include mineral oil, animal oil or vegetable oil. These greasy contaminants mainly come from lubricating oil, cutting oil, quenching oil, polishing paste and polishing paste, and fingerprints used in the processing of stainless steel parts. Inorganic dirt includes mud, dust particles, and oxides formed during heat treatment.
The methods of surface pretreatment of stainless steel include:
1 Mechanical method, using a grinder, polishing machine or other machinery to eliminate the roughness of the surface, polishing and polishing;
2 Chemical method, degreasing with alkaline solution, pickling with acidic solution and organic solvent to dissolve grease and decontamination;
3 Electrochemical method, using electrochemical degreasing and electrochemical etching;
4 Rolling, centrifugal rolling, centrifugal disc polishing and rotating polishing are suitable for small parts and have the functions of leveling and descaling;
5 Sandblasting. It is suitable for large-area treatment, and has the functions of decontamination and removal of oxide scale.
