Design requirements for vacuum vessels

    The content and requirements of the overall design of the vacuum vessel are as follows.

    ①Determine the vacuum range in the vacuum container. According to the standard, the degree of vacuum is divided into four areas: low vacuum, medium vacuum, high vacuum (HV) and ultra-high vacuum (VHV). The vacuum degree ranges are 105~102Pa,102~10-1Pa,10-1~10-5Pa,<10-5Pa. The vacuum degree range in the vacuum container is determined according to the purpose (production process) of the vacuum container. Then according to the vacuum range of the vacuum vessel, select the manufacturing material, sealing material, and flange interface form.

    ②The design temperature and working pressure of the vacuum vessel. Generally, room temperature is selected, and the design pressure is 0.101MPa.

    ③Determine the main structural dimensions of the container. Including container forms, heads, gates, saddles, reinforcement rings, reinforcement structures, various flange connections, and various sealing forms.

    ④ Formulate the main process requirements of the container. Including material selection and inspection methods, welding process, cleaning process, total leak rate and leak detection process, etc.

    ⑤The opening form of the vacuum container door. According to the geometric dimensions of the container door, there are hinge type, bell type, suspension type, trailer type and so on.

    ⑥The performance of the container to withstand external pressure. Including the calculation of vessel wall thickness and the distribution of stress and strain, and then taking reinforcement measures.

    ⑦The design of vacuum vessel shall adopt relevant standards as far as possible. Such as the calculation of container wall thickness, various flanges, motion transmission mechanism, etc.

    ⑧The sealing surface of various flange joints on the container should be finished after welding.
